HARD WORK

Coming out of the What Why Lie Truth series, we’re putting it into action—running the WWLT play in our sports and everyday lives. In this video, Robbie unpacks one of the most common lies coaches and athletes believe: “Hard work guarantees success.” Discover how the gospel reframes our effort, our expectations, and what true success really looks like.

PERFORMANCE

In this second video of the Lie for a Truth series, Megan shares a personal story of when her identity became tied to her performance. Through Scripture and the life of the Apostle Paul, she confronts the lie of "my performance determines my value"—and reveals the freedom found in rooting our identity in Christ instead of results.

GRIND

In the third video of the Lie for a Truth series, Robbie walks through Psalm 139 and tackles a lie many athletes and coaches wrestle with: "God doesn' care about the grind." Discover how this powerful passage reminds us that we are fully known, fully seen, and deeply loved—even in the pressure and pursuit.

APPROVAL

We all struggle with the desire for approval—whether it’s from coaches, teammates, family, or even ourselves. In this Lie for a Truth video, Megan turns to James 4 to expose the lie that "my coaches' or teammates' approval determines my significance or value." Discover where true approval is found and the freedom that comes from anchoring your value in Christ.

SLUMP

"It doens't matter who I run to in a slump" When you’re in a slump, it’s tempting to run to anything that promises a quick fix. We all chase things to fill the void—but in this Lie for a Truth video, Robbie points us to 2 Timothy 4 and reminds us where real validation is found: in God’s Word, not the stat line.

INFLUENCE

In this final Lie for a Truth video, Megan tackles the lie: “I can’t influence my team if I’m not a captain.” Looking at Matthew 4, she reminds us that Jesus called ordinary fishermen to drop their nets and follow Him—and through them, changed the world. In the same way, God calls everyday coaches and athletes to live with spiritual influence for His glory right where they are, no title required.
