Gordon Wilson
South Border Area Representative
East Central Nebraska
Gordon graduated from Hastings College in 1992 and began teaching at Silver Creek Public Schools that fall. He taught at the elementary school, coached multiple sports, and led the FCA Huddle there until taking a teaching job in Aurora in 1998. During his 27 years at Aurora he taught in third and sixth grade classrooms, coached a wide variety of middle and high school sports, was the head coach for the high school track team, and worked with the Aurora FCA huddle. Before retiring from teaching in 2025, Gordon was invited to serve with FCA at Leadership Camp and Weekend of Champions. Those opportunities challenged him to not only consider joining FCA staff but also refueled his relationship with Christ. After months of prayer, conversations with FCA staff, and support from his family he felt called to pursue an area representative position with FCA Nebraska, joining the team in 2026.
Gordon's passion within FCA is building relationships with coaches and athletes in the area in which he serves. Knowing the impact that FCA has had on his own personal life, Gordon is excited to make an eternal investment in the coaches and athletes he will be working with. "In recent years, FCA has poured into me and I can't thank the Nebraska FCA family enough for challenging me to grow in my faith and encouraging me along the way. What an amazing opportunity to invest in the hearts and lives of coaches and athletes and assist them in their walk with Christ as a member of the FCA family."
Gordon is thrilled to be a part of FCA because he knows the importance of the ministry. "Being able to interact in the lives of coaches and athletes with the Gospel and see them build their own lifelong, personal relationship with Christ is a real privilege. I hope to impact the lives of others just as FCA has done for me."
Gordon is married to his best friend, Amy, and lives in Aurora, NE. They are blessed with two amazing daughters, Allyson and Bethany. Amy is a fifth grade teacher in Aurora, Allyson is a flight nurse with Air Methods based in Crete, and Bethany is a landscape designer for Steinbrinks in Kearney. Gordon and Amy love doing things with their daughters and other members of their family, especially if it involves a road trip!
