Nolan Kohmetscher
Area Director
East Central Nebraska
Nolan was a social studies teacher and coach at Lincoln High School prior to joining FCA staff. The Lord took him and his wife through a great time of spiritual training while at LHS. FCA has significantly impacted both of them and they have seen first hand as huddle coaches how FCA can greatly impact coaches and athletes with the Gospel! They joined FCA staff because of an overwhelming desire to serve FCA staff, coaches, athletes, and volunteers so that they may utilize their tremendous influence for the Gospel of Jesus Christ!
Within FCA, Nolan gets to work out of his passion for the Gospel by serving FCA staff, coaches, and volunteers with discipleship, support, and visionary leadership. His favorite way to spend the day is discipling FCA staff so that they may be better equipped, spiritually full, and intentional about ministering to the flock the Lord has given them to steward. It is the wonderful message of Jesus Christ and His life, death, and resurrection that has brought value to the ministry of FCA, so ministering with that message in mind is essential!
What excites Nolan most about being part of FCA is the work that we are blessed to do! Paul Washer has a quote that says: "I have given God countless reasons not to love me. None of them has been strong enough to change his mind." Nolan goes on to say, “The work we do with FCA is a constant reminder of this, and for that I am grateful. To work as a minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, I am reminded often of the weakness of my flesh and my desperate need for a savior and God's help! FCA impacts those involved in the same way, by engaging them with the Gospel! The impact that I have seen from people involved with FCA being faithful with that message is overwhelming!”
Nolan and his wife, Ema, live in Hastings where they both grew up. They have a daughter, Elsie (2), and one on the way. Ema enjoys hiking, bike rides, and painting. Nolan enjoys making fishing lures in the garage, fishing or hunting with friends and family, and doing home improvement projects.
