THE GOSPEL

Having a solid understanding of the Gospel is the first step to growing spiritually. This is the foundation of the Doing Sports God's Way strategy of What Why Lie Truth (WWLT).


OVERVIEW

In view of the Gospel, the Holy Spirit is in the process of moving every believer closer to God’s goal for us in Christlikeness. Each step in this process involves taking thoughts captive and making them obedient to Christ.

WHAT

Think about the best question asker of all time, Jesus, and the way He asked questions. Oftentimes through one or two simple questions, it would lead to an incredibly impactful Gospel moment.

WHY

Through those simple questions, the disciples were able "open up the hood" as Jesus addressed the argument of who was the greatest with the call to be the least of all and servant of all.

LIE

As a Christian, we must flip the script. To do so, we have to identify the specific lie we’re believing that’s convincing us it’s okay to worship someone or something other than God Himself.

TRUTH

To simply identify the lie has zero power. The power is in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. As result, what specific truth of the Gospel counters that lie? In light of that truth, how must we respond?
